How to achieve twice as much in half the time

In today’s Friday catch up I share my really simple secret on how we seem to achieve so much here at Women Unlimited. I was talking yesterday with the fabulous Catherine Watkin (Selling from the heart) and she asked how I could do so much while raising two young kids. So I put my thinking cap on and came up with what I think is the reason that we get lots done in a short period of time (I try to only work 30 hours a week…). It does really come down to focus, but the big question is what to focus on! Watch this video and let me know what you think… Do you do this too? What works for you. If you like it, please share it and I look forward to catching up with you next week!

Slow down to speed up

Create the time and space in your life and your business to create your strategy and do the stuff that is going to be most powerful and effective in your business.

  1. Do the thinking first
  2. Take stock
  3. Figure out what’s working
  4. What isn’t
  5. What do you need to change
  6. What can you do to improve on in your business
  7. Schedule it! Every week! … Friday or Monday morning.

Create the time to give your business room to grow.

  1. I’ve got two very young kids and I’m trying to run a wedding business. I would say the one thing you left off your very good list was “work odd hours!” I worry less about getting my work done, if I know that I can squeeze a couple of hours in when I know they’ll be asleep between 9pm and 11pm!! Not ideal but necessary, I find!

  2. Great advice, thanks Julie. I’ve found finding moments were I have a space that is free from work full stop really valuable as well. Its so easy to get caught up in the ‘grind’ when your sat at a computer.

  3. As always Women Unlimited brings great tips and advice everytime I read it! Thanks again, this really helps me sort out my time. let’s get organized!
