What's new this month
Hi
We have another bank holiday weekend coming up - hooray. May has been a hectic month for Women Unlimited and some of you will have noticed that the news and video section of the site has seen a lot more activity of late. We have three new additions to the Women Unlimited team, Alex Vargas, Belinda Nnoka and Tracey Chatterton, who are going to be giving us a lot of fresh content for the site over the coming months and will be writing a lot of inspiring and valuable articles. We have decided to bring back Your Stories as a regular feature on the site. The first one is with Julia Macmillan, sharing some of her experience with creating Toyboy Warehouse. Send us an email and let us know if you would like to be featured on the Women Unlimited site.
Last week we had two great events, the buying a website Women Unlimited meetup on May 12 and Celebrating Women in Social Enterprise on May 13th. Both were a great success. The Celebrating Women in Social Enterprise was both moving and informative with talks from Erin Pizzey, Marieme Jamme, Martino Cartella and Servane Mouazan. Click here to read all about it. Thank you very much to Dianna Bonner for her fabulous photography.
For next month's Women Unlimited meetup on June 17th, we're very lucky to have Emma Wimhurst running a session called "How clear is your vision" - this meetup is suitable for both new startups and existing busineses. Space will be limited and it will be a fabulous evening, so make sure you book early. We wish you all a fantastic long weekend!
All the best, Julie |
