Conference — 09 February 2010
Panel: Jo Behari, founder of Home Jane

Joanna Behari set up the first female property maintenance and home improvement company in the UK. Home Jane’s tradeswomen tackle a range of work from DIY jobs, from building shelves to bathroom and kitchen re-fits. Jo established the business after having work done in her own home and finding the process frustrating and at times intimidating. Having looked into female trades people Jo realised there was a gap in the market for a company to provide an all round service.  By pooling the resources of the trades women Home Jane can provide clients with a one stop shop for all trades, whilst providing a high level of customer service. The company has expanded to national locations and has exceeded all forecasts and projections. Home Jane’s success has also been recognised by a number of prestigious awards.

Having previous training and experience in marketing along with setting up her own business, Jo has run workshops for other small businesses and start-ups that need help to develop and execute their marketing strategy. Jo concentrates on the areas that most small businesses and start-ups struggle with including building a robust brand and marketing on a budget.
