Panel: MT Rainey, CEO of Horsesmouth

MT (Mary Teresa) Rainey was founder and CEO of top UK advertising agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe, now part of the WPP Group. She resigned from her role as Chair of the company in 2005 to start a social enterprise in the digital arena called horsesmouth.co.uk, inspired by the potential of new media to create significant public value. Horsesmouth.co.uk is an online social network for informal mentoring and was named one of the top twenty Web 2.0 start-ups of 2007.

MT is also Chairman of the fast growing digital agency Think

(www.think.eu)  which was named one of the top ten technology companies in this year’s Delloitte Fast Fifty.

MT also recently completed a 6 year term as Non Executive Director of WH Smith plcIn a voluntary capacity MT has been appointed to the Board of Skillset, the Sector Skills Council for the Creative Industries and is a member of the National Skills Commission.  She is also a Trustee of the think tank Demos and is a former Chairman of the Marketing Group of Great Britain.

A graduate and now a Visiting Professor of Glasgow University, MT is a regular speaker on communications, media and digital industry issues.
